Missed a month..........

Hey everyone, I missed a whole month! So much has happened time has just flown. So....In case any of you actually keep "normal" hours, you would have missed Venus which has been shining big and bright in our early morning skies these last couple of weeks....around 5 to 5.30 is the best time to catch her here.......depends what time the sun comes up where you are......here she is with the moon.......(double click on the photo to see it properly)
Kylin got a cold but it really turned bad quite quickly, short story of a long saga.....he developed pneumonia and although 2 doctors told me he'd be fine - I thought otherwise and took him to hospital, he was really grunting for breath and for you medicos had the tracheal pull, his intercostal spaces were pulling and so was his stomach. It looked like the respiratory distress he had when he was born. Triage put him on the monitor and he was saturating at 82% - they raced him off into a resus room and started preparing for him to crash....I kept saying he's been like this for 2 days, I don't think they believed me.... He was chatty and playing and mucking around with me....he was having a great time until they started trying to get an IV into him - 5 times - he has mummy's dodgy veins and 3 different peeps couldn't manage to find a vein. He was admitted and had a terrible night of being frightened of everything. Here he is telling me in graphic detail where the air was hurting his nose. (he was only on oxygen at this stage)
I must say....I called Bindi and Dan to go feed my dogs, turn off my puter and to bring in some goat milk for Kylin.
Dan turned up on the ward sometime before 6am....we hadn't slept at all, I hadn't eaten since lunch the day before.......I was starving, but it didn't matter, He didn't only bring in Kylin's milk.
Bindi had got up early and made me some toasted ham and cheese sandwhiches - OH MY! I inhaled them both like I'd been starved for a week..........she had packed in gluten free snacks for Kylin, and some of Brodie's toys and books. The thoughfullness of that alone made me cry.....I was so happy to see a familiar face, and it was a familiar face - with milk and food!
The day before good Friday....needing to go food shopping, with two small children in tow....Bindi came in later that morning, armed with another bag filled with coffee, she had been to subway and got a roll for me for lunch, baked beans, biscuits for us both, fruit, and a sausage roll amongst a heap of other things. She had gone back to feed the dogs. And in doing so had gone through all our drawers to find toothpaste and toothbrushes, spare clothes etc. Without being asked to do any of this. I just wanted to share with you all how amazing it felt to have people mobilize and help out so instantly and proactively. AWESOME PEOPLE - I just wanted to publicly thank you Bindi and Dan - for being there and knowing EXACTLY what we needed. You know you are awesome, I just want everyone else to know it too. Thank you so very much. xxxx
We all went to Bramston beach for a catch up and to meet Mark's wife Col for the first time. She is lovely and he is so happy. We all had a fantastic day.
Anyone seen Kylin?
