A now we are three (and 3 - 0)

Well Shane didn't get to be flung into the ozone for his 30th birthday because it was raining. His skydive has been postponed to the 16th June. However, we did all get to have a luscious lunch at the Sebel in Palm Cove to help him celebrate. This is Kylin and Jazz pretending to be full and sleepy.
they just love snuggling up for cuddles and kisses, they were very well behaved and we all had a very lovely afternoon.
And now it was Kylin's turn. He was awake very early to open all the lovely birthday presents that had been sent or brought for him.
We got him some rollerblades, and he just had to try them right now, so it was on with the helmet, knee and elbow pads but no pants please.........................he soon got the hang of walking in them and was very pleased with himself.
Of we go onto the street, very exciting.........
he really took to them very well and once we got him to stop looking at the ground, his balance improved heaps
He really thought he was very very clever and thoughroughly enjoyed himself
back inside to help with the balloons, too much fun and a few of them burst but we had more...
after a sleep we all dressed up, packed the car and off we went to have a party at the pirate ship.

we scored a table and everyone pretty much showed up at once. I had the best time running around and either chasing someone or being chased. Here are the boys cooking the sausages and opening the wine...................nuff said.............
we had heaps to eat, heaps to drink and had lots to do in the meantime with the sand, the mud, and the little grassy hills to run and roll down, we had a fab time.
Captain Mark kept us young'uns in line, threatening us with his cutlass and shooting the scurvy dogs who played up. He was so much fun, all the mums wanted to hire him for their future parties, but not for the reasons he would have liked :)
I found some mud and was making footprints, then everyone was onto me and they all started doing it, (by now I had to discard my pirate costume, it was making me too hot)
Captain Mark with a few of his bilge rats - Finlay, Jazz, Erin n Oliver
The cake, brought as a plain sponge and assembled with great wads of stress, next year I'm buying one, the icing wont behave cause it's just too hot here, everything slides off and won't stick, it's just not worth the stress. This lasted about 3 mins out of the esky before it started to fall apart from the heat...............When everyone sang happy birthday to me I had the biggest smile on my face, mummy didn't get a picture of me because she was a bit caught up in the moment and just wanted to watch me.
Most of the kids ended up looking like this, there was blue from one end of them to the other, this is Ryan, he even had it all the way up his arms, fantastic choice of shirt by his dad Rick, it all blended in perfectly!
I was taken home, kicking and screaming. Overtired and overstimulated, it had been a long long day with so many things happening. I had had presents, seen pretty much everyone I know all at once, got to run and play and eat lots of stuff (I spat out the only lolly I've ever had - yayyy) I really enjoyed my party but in the end I just couldn't handle it, I had a lovely bath with lavender in it to calm me down when I got home and crashed into bed soon after - I am now very fast asleep and should stay that way all night.
Thank you to all you lovely people who came to my party today, and to those of you who rang to wish me a happy birthday. I had a fantastic day and have decided that birthdays are that good I will have one every year :)
Me and mum n dad send big birthday squishes to Ashleigh and Frank who also share my birthday.
Sending big hugs and kisses to you all - Kylin ( i'm free now....) xoxo
