Kylin's 3rd birthday poem

Hi all, we've got a new computer so there are no photos this week, but here is the poem I wrote for Kylin's 3rd birthday. Some of it is in "Kylin speak"
Oh "goodgess scashios me", already Kylin, you are 3
Happy birthday little mate, we hope your special day is great
You bring to us day after day, new ways to see things as you play
We are so very proud of you and all the things you now can do
U know colors, all your letters too, past 10 and shapes are still just new
At learning you are such a wizz, you even know where Egypt is
You love your trucks and little cars, rainbows and the moon and stars
Postman Pat, Bing and Bong, and now the Wiggles after so long
You play happily in your little house, you think that playdoh’s really grouse
Pirates n swordfights n Puf n stuff, tickles and chasing you can’t get enough
Magic painting, drawing too, mornings with Jenny who really loves you
Dancing, towers, computer play, you bring sunshine to our everyday
You zoom around on your trike, your little car or 3 wheel bike
Then off to the "geen swing" and little slide, or to look in the shed where the gekkos hide
Stomping around in blue boots you, yell out to us " watch out for the poo"
You " keen" it all up when a spill makes you stress, you run for the sponge and fix all the mess
You play with the dishes and can help mummy heaps, and you still love your daytime sleeps
At the shops you push the buttons for me, and walk like a big boy beside the trolley
You help me find the veg and fruit, people still tell me that you’re so cute
You gnaw through bags or plastic wrapped cheese, to taste what’s inside despite my pleas
You love to " hold celery please" and pretend that it’s a bunch of trees
"It’s very windy" you will say, and your trees shake around in a menacing way
you hold the tins and naughty mummy, puts the cold things on your tummy
Hello lady, or Hello man, you say to everyone you can
Some ignore you or a smile they’ll crack, but you’re delighted if they answer you back
Without chucking a hissy fit, you put things on the counter to "pay for it"
When we use the eftpos, you’re just like Bob, pushing the green button is your job
You love magic paper coming out, "I’ve got treasure" you will shout
You’re so polite to everyone, so many comment on things you’ve done
" s’cuse me mummy" you will say, if you want to get past and I’m in the way
Please and thank you, and sorry a lot, whether you’ve done wrong or not
When I look at you, I get tears in my eyes, such a wonderful boy, each day with you flies
So full of cheek, and such a delight, from the time you wake till we say good night
3 years ago we were blessed, with our baby Kylin, you’re the best
You fill our hearts, you bring such joy, we love you special darling boy.
Hope you've all had a fab week, hope we'll be here soon with more photos xoxoxo

He did it !

Having had to cancel two jumps because of unseasonal weather, we had a beautiful clear (read freezing) couple of days so Shane finally got to do his parachute jump. We waited among the cane fields and tried to pick which speck was him. There's the plane!
Ohhh there he is............
The look on his face says it all, safe on the ground and thoroughly adrenalised.

Daddy you're safe!
We haven't seen the video or photos yet but it was fab to be there when he landed and share the experience with them.
Love and hugs to you all xoxoxoxo

And now we are BOTH 3 !!

Happy 3rd birthday Jazz!
Shane & Marisol got a jumping castle for her party - Just too much fun! Our kids were blurry all day :)
We were invited over early so they could jump heaps before the bigger kids got there.
The blimp has been here all week and flies over a few times a day to Kylins absolute joy, today was no exception.

Kylin was told not to play with the screen door, so he found another door to play with instead.

Luscious Marisol who is about 16 weeks pregnant now.
She looks ace with short hair !
Awwwwww
tired and shagged out after a long hard jump
Lots n lotsa yummy food and the cake topped it all off
Kylin wasn't interested in cake, these were the first fresh strawberries he'd seen since our Melbourne trip and he zeroed in on them like a missile.
Jazz and Marisol ended up feeding him most of them (the ones he didn't pinch that is)
All the adults had a turn too, great exercise, not particularly good on a full stomach though.
Shane got the most requests to come in and lots of tickles, giggles and screaming were heard although the screaming could have been Shane ?????
We all had a fantastic day and stayed way past our alloted party time :)
A tired and partied out Marisol realised that they have to do this twice a year from next year. Hee hee! Love to you all - K n D n K xoxoxo

A now we are three (and 3 - 0)

Well Shane didn't get to be flung into the ozone for his 30th birthday because it was raining. His skydive has been postponed to the 16th June. However, we did all get to have a luscious lunch at the Sebel in Palm Cove to help him celebrate. This is Kylin and Jazz pretending to be full and sleepy.
they just love snuggling up for cuddles and kisses, they were very well behaved and we all had a very lovely afternoon.
And now it was Kylin's turn. He was awake very early to open all the lovely birthday presents that had been sent or brought for him.
We got him some rollerblades, and he just had to try them right now, so it was on with the helmet, knee and elbow pads but no pants please.........................he soon got the hang of walking in them and was very pleased with himself.
Of we go onto the street, very exciting.........
he really took to them very well and once we got him to stop looking at the ground, his balance improved heaps
He really thought he was very very clever and thoughroughly enjoyed himself
back inside to help with the balloons, too much fun and a few of them burst but we had more...
after a sleep we all dressed up, packed the car and off we went to have a party at the pirate ship.

we scored a table and everyone pretty much showed up at once. I had the best time running around and either chasing someone or being chased. Here are the boys cooking the sausages and opening the wine...................nuff said.............
we had heaps to eat, heaps to drink and had lots to do in the meantime with the sand, the mud, and the little grassy hills to run and roll down, we had a fab time.
Captain Mark kept us young'uns in line, threatening us with his cutlass and shooting the scurvy dogs who played up. He was so much fun, all the mums wanted to hire him for their future parties, but not for the reasons he would have liked :)
I found some mud and was making footprints, then everyone was onto me and they all started doing it, (by now I had to discard my pirate costume, it was making me too hot)
Captain Mark with a few of his bilge rats - Finlay, Jazz, Erin n Oliver
The cake, brought as a plain sponge and assembled with great wads of stress, next year I'm buying one, the icing wont behave cause it's just too hot here, everything slides off and won't stick, it's just not worth the stress. This lasted about 3 mins out of the esky before it started to fall apart from the heat...............When everyone sang happy birthday to me I had the biggest smile on my face, mummy didn't get a picture of me because she was a bit caught up in the moment and just wanted to watch me.
Most of the kids ended up looking like this, there was blue from one end of them to the other, this is Ryan, he even had it all the way up his arms, fantastic choice of shirt by his dad Rick, it all blended in perfectly!
I was taken home, kicking and screaming. Overtired and overstimulated, it had been a long long day with so many things happening. I had had presents, seen pretty much everyone I know all at once, got to run and play and eat lots of stuff (I spat out the only lolly I've ever had - yayyy) I really enjoyed my party but in the end I just couldn't handle it, I had a lovely bath with lavender in it to calm me down when I got home and crashed into bed soon after - I am now very fast asleep and should stay that way all night.
Thank you to all you lovely people who came to my party today, and to those of you who rang to wish me a happy birthday. I had a fantastic day and have decided that birthdays are that good I will have one every year :)
Me and mum n dad send big birthday squishes to Ashleigh and Frank who also share my birthday.
Sending big hugs and kisses to you all - Kylin ( i'm free now....) xoxo
