Just seconds after this was taken, Karen realised that her boarding call had been 20 minuits ago! Hasty goodbye for Frank (another of my fav people X) Then Wayne n Kaz did a blistering dash through security and blurred through to the departure lounge (that looked closer than it actually was), to arrive breathless, hot and flustered at the gate - hardly able to speak - I waved a limp goodbye under the blanket of frownyness being deposited on me by the air crew - and was gone. Far far too close!
Anzac day, Karen went to the dawn service then took Damian & Mark to march at Edmonton. It was really hot and the guys had to stand on a slope for over an hour so their backs and feet were really sore.
Kylin and I waited along the course to clap them all on, a police car came and parked with it's lights on right in front of us - Kylin was in heaven.

Sunday arvo, Damian took Ky for a ride in the wheelbarrow, up the road, around the block again and again - toy puppy was in there too and there was much laughter and giggling.

They play so nicely together and although this shot was prompted, they will often give each other cuddles or kisses.
I had really meant to take a photo as we started to eat, but it was so yummy, we forgot all about photos until after we had inhaled lunch.
We were able to catch up with C.K. on his whirlwind stopover in Cairns, after leaving his brief stint on Melville as part of white crew. Heading back to Canberra in just 2 days, we snatched a luscious lunch with him at Doninis at the pier (it's outside now Sooz) Fab company, gorgeous food and do not under any circumstances order the "mini" Pav which could easily feed a family of 4! He is his normal, happy jovial self and we had a lovely time catching up with him after 2 and a bit years. No chilli martinis this time Chris!!
Kylins first "bubbachino" this is just milk froth, I always thought they had coffee in them so never brought him one before - He loved it and felt very grown up having coffee with us all.
Hope you have all had a fab couple of weeks too. I have to go as today is Shanes 30th birthday and we are heading off early to cheer as he is bondaged to a stranger and hurtled from a plane.
