First of many for 2008

Hello everyone - Happy new year, hope you all had fantastic xmas and new year celebrations. Regarding the recent negative feedback recieved - In the words of my dear friend Ali "You have a choice people!" if you don't like our blog, don't read it! I have been writing this blog for nearly 2 years now, it takes a lot of time to do each post, we are so blessed to have so many friends and it's important to me to keep in touch with you all - and this is the best way I know. I don't get many comments about it but when I recently got a few negative comments, it upset me and I wonder why I bother. Thank you to all you wonderful people (and there were heaps of you) who e-mailed me to tell me not to listen to them and let me know how much you enjoy our updates - that meant a lot to me and changed my mind about letting everyone know when we had posted. If you are over it and want to be removed from the update list I'd be happy to do so. I have also been told some of you aren't getting the update e-mail anymore but still want to, if that is happening let me know so I can fix it. Sooooo here we go - loads of photo's and more to come in the next day or two so grab a drink or hit the delete button :)
Xmas morning, Santa brought heaps of presents for Kylin - his favorites were binoculars, a walkie talkie, and a bob the builder phone.
Malay and Morita our neighbours who we ended up spending xmas and boxing days with.
Marisol n Jaelyn, the Mathews also spent xmas day with our neighbours, the kids had a fab day playing together. We brought all our food over and there was enough to feed about 5 families.
Kylin, Traffic and Joan having races down the street on xmas day
We got the Samoan kids a cricket set and the Dads played cricket with the kids.

A necklace made with the new beads and thread that Santa brought.
Smoothie moustache - bit of a groucho pose this one
Our mad friends Vanessa and Rick were in Cairns recently and came over for dinner, it was awesome to catch up with them and the night went far too quickly.

Last one for the year

Hello everyone - only 3 more sleeps!! Very exciting!! Hope you all have a wonderful and safe christmas and that 2008 brings you everything you hope for. Little Finlay had his adenoids out recently, he was really really brave and just before he went home he got to eat JAM SANDWHICHES much to mummy's disgust!
Shane n Jaelyn
Two luscious Mummy's - Marisol and her mum Alba.
Jazz n Kylin got into the dress ups and loved the fluffy hair
Our new birdy, also called furry she's a white zebra finch. The birds have to come inside at night now to save them being dinner.
Kylin at his very first chrismas party. He ate cheezles, cupcakes and lollies all for the first time - while mummy sat and tried sooo hard not to be a party food nazi.
Hot n sweaty Kylin and Angelee waiting for santa
Yayyy here he is, Kylin said " hello santa, it's so good to see you again"
Miss Nancy one of Kylins teachers, she was another Jenny and really helped Kylin in his early days at the centre. She loves him to bits but sadly she is leaving and we are all going to miss her heaps.
Happy birthday to our January babies:

Only 16 more sleeps! (warning - first pic is a snake)

Hello everyone, again , we'll try to make the words few as the pictures are many :) We woke up on Saturday morning one perch too many - I won't show you the other picture but there is a very fat bit of the snake on the inside of the cage so he couldn't get out. We had to get a reptile handler to come and remove him. On a much nicer and exciting note - look who's here.... little Jaelyn Mathews arrived on the 6th Dec. 4520g and 54 cm long. Mum, bub, dad n Jazz are all doing really well. He is just GORGEOUS.
This is the view from the balcony of a party we went to at Palm Cove a week or two ago
Breakfasting on the balcony with the awesome views, the white amongst the trees is ocean
Helping daddy with my new snippy snipper
Helping mummy make honey joys for Brodie's party
Look at all the tinsel, I helped put up the christmas tree and had ace fun running all over the house being a tinsel monster.
Jazz n I on a really hot Sunday just chillin out
then it was inside for a red pirate bath and bubble shower
I finally got to see santa again, when I got up on his knee I said " Hello Santa - I missed you"Well, hope all your christmas/holiday plans are going smoothly, it's well and truely party season now so everyone, be safe, have fun and don't stress, it'll all be over in a coupla weeks. We are planning a New years eve party, dinner on
christmas eve, and lunch on Christmas day so Mummy and Daddy are having great fun skimming through all the cook books for yummy stuff to make.
Love and bits of tinsel to you all - Kylin Jett xoxoxo

Last one for November

Hi everyone, so this isn't too long, we'll just use short photo descriptions.
A group of us followed Mark to his "happy place" for a massive BBQ lunch up on the tablelands
I stayed in the air conditioned car while everyone checked the lookout

Dan n Brodie
Mark's 'happy place' at Lake Tinnaroo
More a feast than lunch really :)
There was a huge playground, and it was VERY bright and glary
There are 6 Samoan kids in the house across the road. They came over to help me draw, we filled the whole driveway.

Marisol and Jazz came to visit yesterday, we played beautifully as usual.
This morning, I did some rainbow (shaving) cream drawings in the bath, just too much fun

Well how was that? Short enough for ya?
Happy birthday to everyone celebrating their birthdays in December:
Vanessa H, Andrew B, Danny, Silvia, Mandy, Pete, River, Slag, Dermott, Carmel, Nic, Richard M, Pat, Campa, Andrew H, Renae, Ramona, Isabelle and Grant.
Phew!
We hope you all have a wonderfull day.
Bye everyone, we'll write again soon.
Love and squishes - Kylin. xo
PS: Cylone Guba is still lurking - fingers crossed it will fizz out

It's November already!

Hi again everyone, hope you've all had a great couple of weeks! Well it's been very exciting here with visitors and Scott returning from sea, and loads of peeps joining our Saturday BBQs now. We found these traffic cones in the playground (I call them carrots) and thought they made pretty great hats. They suited Dan and Daddy very well. We had a great morning and stayed until almost 12o'clock. Mummy spotted Lois and Aya in the playground and went to find Shinobu, they came and joined us as well. We had some gorgeous frangipannis that had just fallen from the trees on the street, so mummy collected them for the table and tried to work out a way to attach one perminantly to her nose, they smell divine. The luscious Brodie! What a little spunk!
Mark and Scott looking interested..........
Daddy stayed home on Thursday, he went to the shops and brought me a lawn mower just like his
AND I also got my very own snippy snipper that makes noises and talks.
I am now the king of the garden! Look out weeds! I quite often fall asleep with my face resting on my hands all angelic like......last night Mummy crept into my room pointed the camera where she thought I was and took a photo.
It looks like daylight but this was just the flash - it was actually pitch black.
We have had a busy few days with dinners and catching up with loads of people, it's been great.
We hope you are all happy and well, and that all in your world is fantastic.
Love and squishes - Kylin. xoxoxo
